Ocean freight rates are going down in 2016.

Last 2015 year for freight forwarding market had new ways of behavior in case prices.
In the end of May 2015 the ocean freigh rates were quite decreased.
What are the reasons?

The main reason is an international change of the oil price.
In June, July, August 2015 the ocean freight rates continued to fall, and in August-September, the rate on the most popular routeIt amounted to $ 100 per 20'DC and 150 / 40'DC.
Participants of shipping market had not seen such prices since 2008. Many shippers and consignees were able to save money on logistics and recoup their losses in previous years due to a sharp significant increase in ocean freight rates, as has happened so often.
Meanwhile all that decreasing period shipping lines planned to implement General Rate Increase every month, but not happened. All parties
All have become accustomed to such applications of shipping lines, so do not pay attention, but from December actually entered a sharp rise in prices. Therefore, before the new year decided to postpone a lot of cargo delivery to the lower prices. And they were right. In the middle of January 2016 rates fell again. And in February 2016 rates on the routes mentioned higher in the text were close to a minimum - 150-200 USD per 20'DC and 250-350 USD for 40'DC.
Such level prolonged till March 2016. Shipping lines planning to implement GRI again after the 15th March, but who knows.
Probably the prices were decreased in the beginning of the 2016 year for possibility to update new rates in second half of March 2016, means: not so high and not so cheep.
